A simple hearted folk singer of Pakistan, Allan Faqir sang not a great number of songs but the few he sang, left a profound impact on the music lovers and helped him in promoting culture of Sindh across the world.
For his services to folk music and culture, Allan Faqir was awarded 'Pride of Performance' by Government of Pakistan. He breathed his last on July 4, 2000 at age of 68.
