Amazing Pakistani Heroes
Dr. Lozina Shoaib

What can you expect from a female in Pakistan suffering from severe arthritis, cardiac problems and other problems incapacitating her to live a normal life? Disability? Actually, this word has never been in life of Lozina Shoaib. An Amazing Pakistani scholar and government official working at a respectable position, Lozina Shoaib is embodiment of high spirits and confidence. Despite her physical condition and disabilities, she navigated the journey of life leading to a remarkable career. With double masters and a PhD from NUST in pursuance alongside a government job, she is a role model for many people who feel that their disabilities have impacted their journey.
It is because of people like her that all over the world the term to describe them changed from 'disabled persons' to 'special person' to 'specially abled person'. Specially abled she is and this is what she has proven all her life. More than 20 surgeries and more expected, she continues to live in high spirits.
Here it is very important that her amazing parents are also paid a tribute. Her father, Major (Retd) Shoaib Shaheed achieved martyrdom in a terrorist attack in Rawalpindi known as 'Parade Lane attack'. He along with his wife, Lozina's mother, were source of inspiration and encouragement to their daughter in her career. Lozina, her shaheed father and her dedicated mother are true heroes of Pakistan and a role model for the world around them. They are the Amazing Pakistanis in every sense of word and we pay respectful tribute to their lives and achievements.
