Dr Samar Mubarakmand
Dr Samar Mubarakmand's role in Pakistan's nuclear and missile programs has been of vital importance. He is one of the leading experts in nuclear physics as well as missile systems and has worked both on Pakistan's nuclear weapon and missile systems.
Dr Samar Mubarkmand also headed the team of Pakistani scientists which successfully carried out country's first nuclear detonation in 1998 declaring it World's seventh nuclear power. Dr Samar Mubarkmand also established NESCOM (National Engineering and Scientific Commission (NESCOM), a leading research organization which has contributed significantly to Pakistan's defence systems including missile system.
Dr Samar Mubarakmand as an advisor to Government of Pakistan on science and technology has also worked on Thar Coal Mining project.
For his amazing achievements and contribution in scientific research, Dr Samar Mubarakmand has been awarded Nishan-i-Imtiaz, Hilal-i-Imtiaz and Sitara-i-Imtiaz.
