Inspector Hukam Khan

His services were basically to diffuse bombs as part of the bomb disposal squad - a simple job on paper requiring just another man. But jobs like these take a lion's heart and Inspector Hukam Khan had one. He had tamed the monster of fear, which anyone would have when approaching a live bomb planted by the terrorists. Year in year out, with the growing threat of terrorism, Hukam Khan along with his colleagues did his job with accuracy, devotion. Neither there was any special reward nor recognition for his services. 

One day, he paid the ultimate price of his life while diffusing just another bomb. His martyrdom brought him to some limelight but not what he actually deserved. 

We salute Inspector Hukam Khan Shaheed and many heroes like him who laid their lives in the service of their nation.
