Maj Langlands of Pakistan

He is a British citizen and has lived most of his 90-plus years in Pakistan. He has been living in Pakistan since its independence on August 14, 1947 and has setup a quality educational institution in a distant part of country, Chitral. This school, which he headed for last few decades has educated thousands of children in this region, which was neglected in terms of economic and infrastructure development.
Major Geoffory Douglas Langlands has served Pakistan as a teacher in other institutions as well before setting up his school in the beautiful and scenic valley of Chitral. He remains optimistic about Pakistan's future and has strong faith in abilities of young generation of this country. In the recent years, when the menace of terrorism threatened this part of country, Maj Langlands resolve to stay and serve people of Chitral was further increased because he believes in fighting terrorism by education.
Major Langlands is a British citizen but is known as 'Major Langlands of Pakistan', a title which is all about dedication and committment to Pakistan and Pakistan's way of saying, Thank you, Sir!
