Amazing Pakistani Heroes
Malala Yousafzai

She blogged under a pseudonym to showcase the horrors of terrorism to the whole world. She did this all alone on her own initiative at the age of 11 years. She raised voice for education for everyone in the country. She even dreamt of becoming a politician so she could fight for education. She was noticed by international community. She was praised and recognized in different parts of the world at her young.
She was also noticed by the extremists who decided to eliminate her for she was a symbol of hope against their attrocities. On October 9, 2012 while returning from school, Malala Yousafzai was shot and injured critically by unidentified assailants allegedly belonging to Taliban. This tragic incident endangered her life and shocked the nation which stood united irrespective of age, race or religion. Malala's contribution not only her in works but also in her personal tragedy made her an international figure and a symbol for education particularly for girls. She won awards, acclaims and recognition of all sorts in days and weeks that followed.
In 2014, Malala Yousafzai became only the second Pakistani to have won the prestigious Noble Prize for Peace. While continuing her own school education, Malala Yousafzai has championed the cause for education with vigor and has stood for something that can truly bring change in our country.
